Rosa Linda Molina
Journalism

Rosa Linda Molina is a truly inspirational success story.  Graduated from high school with a 4.0 grade-point average and received the Student of the Month award. The obstacles that she has overcome prior to her success are what make her such an inspiration. She comes from a broken home and moved countless times throughout her childhood; in and out of motels, in and out of schools, and even, for a time, homeless. Her difficult situation made her so apathetic toward school that she dropped out, twice. But twice she returned. Realizing the influence she could have on her siblings as the oldest of four, she accepted this responsibility and changed her path. She went back to school, determined to see it through this time, and began writing for her school?s magazine ?ReadMe.? There, she has not only found the voice she felt she once lacked, but she has undertaken to hone and develop her skills.  Better yet, she has come to understand the power that her voice and her writing can have on others.  Her faculty advisor says that ?Rosa?s bright ideas seem to tumble out of her head, but they shine because she polishes them lovingly in her heartfelt writing. She is clever, enthusiastic, tenacious, ambitious and focused.?
