| Chanel I. Figueroa of Gainesville, Virginia attends Battlefield High School, where she holds a 3.9 GPA. Of Puerto Rican descent, Chanel is an AP student and star lacrosse and field hockey athlete. She is captain of the lacrosse team, after serving as co-captain for three years, and also co-captains the field hockey team. Chanel has served on the All Region and All District 1st Teams for Lacrosse, All District 1st Team for Field Hockey, and the All-Extra Prince William County Lacrosse Team. Striving to be well rounded, Chanel also sings in two choruses, and is a member of the Science, Spanish, and Tri-M Honor Societies. An active community volunteer, Chanel gives her time to the Fauquier Family Homeless Shelter and local senior nursing home. This fall, she plans to major in Biology or Biological Science at Penn State University. |
