Nicolas Esteban Mendoza of Alpine, California attends Steele Canyon Charter High School, where he holds a perfect 4.0 GPA. Of Cuban and Mexican descent, Nicolas is a College Board AP Scholar, seven-time Union Tribune All-Academic Athlete, four-year Honor Roll student, and National Youth Leadership Forum participant. Following his parents’ mantra of “be honest, work, hard, and follow your heart,” Nicolas has also served as captain of his freshman and Varsity Soccer and JV Football Teams, often studying late into the night after games to achieve his goals. As President of the Steele Canyon Humanitarian Relief Club, he has taken yearly trips to Aragon, New Mexico to volunteer as a community farm hand. Nicolas will major in Business Administration and minor in Biology at Stanford University. |
