Read the entire report by clicking on the links at the bottom of the page. ___________________________________________________ TEAM BUILDERS According to the Department of Labor, over the next 15 years more than two-thirds of America’s workforce will be Hispanic but less than one percent of that growth will be in management. To address this issue and to diversify the home building industry through a national effort, in 2006 TEAM BUILDERS was created by Home Builders Institute (HBI) in partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation’s LOFT (Latinos on the Fast Track) program. Download the full PDF report by clicking here ACTION In an effort to identify, inspire and prepare young Latinos and African Americans for a career in the entertainment industry with a mentoring component and a strong focus on sustainability, the Hispanic Heritage Foundation and Phase 3 worked in partnership with MTV Networks to place and partner 15 interns with the Hispanic Heritage Awards at the Kennedy Center production team. The ceremony was taped and later aired on NBC and Telemundo stations nationally as well as the Armed Forces Network. The effort, which was executed under the Foundation’s LOFT (Latinos On Fast Track) program, was tagged Action! and included young people of color from Los Angeles, New York, Virginia, Maryland, Dallas, and Washington, DC.
