In an effort to identify, inspire and prepare young Latinos and African Americans for a career in the entertainment industry with a mentoring component and a strong focus on sustainability, the Hispanic Heritage Foundation and Phase 3 worked in partnership with MTV Networks to place and partner 15 interns with the Hispanic Heritage Awards at the Kennedy Center production team. The effort, which was executed under the Foundation’s LOFT (Latinos On Fast Track) program, was tagged Action! and included young people of color from Los Angeles, New York, Virginia, Maryland, Dallas, and Washington, DC.
