The Hispanic Heritage Awards were established in 1987 by the White House. The Awards are considered the “highest honor for Latinos by Latinos.”

Public Awareness

In an effort to inspire, educate and present a positive image of Latinos, HHF executes multimedia public awareness campaigns to promote cultural pride, accomplishment and community growth.

LOFT Leadership Summit – The Coca Cola Foundation

The Hispanic Heritage Foundation and The Coca-Cola Foundation are proud to host the Latinas on Fast Track Leadership Summit.
The summit is a free one-day event that will feature multiple workshops in which participants will be able to collaborate and conceptualize ideas that will later be put into practice. Public officials and other leaders from the area will also participate.
Participants will

1) Explore career opportunities;

2) Learn employment forecast;

3) Participate in interactive events to enhance their value propositions;

4) Form connections to help build a seamless integration of Latinas in Corporate America.

They will progress from trying to be a positive example to become an impacting factor in their communities.
If you are a young Latina college student or professional interested in solidifying your leadership skills and expanding your network, please join us at this one of a kind experience.

LOFT Retreat

The Hispanic Heritage Foundation’s (HHF) Leaders On Fast Track (LOFT) program will host a semiannual LOFT Retreat on September 23 in Washington, DC. The event will welcome new members to the LOFT Network and will feature a series of “charlas” by LOFT members. Each short charla will be on a topic of the speaker’s choice, ranging from education and career paths to community service initiatives to personal anecdotes and more.

  • Healthcare & Science (Presented by CVS Health
  • Mathematical Science (Presented by PwC)

Three awards for each student category and one parent award are given in each of the regions across the country. One Regional Award winning student from each category and one parent will be selected as the National Youth Award recipient in his or her respective category.
